CAPTAIN CHS's Reopening Plan
CAPTAIN CHS will reopen in a phased approach, continuing to meet the expanding needs of our community while prioritizing the health and safety of our staff, clients, volunteers, and other approved visitors.
The three-stage plan begins with some expanded services, limited staffing, and strict social distancing, hygiene and cleaning protocols. All stages comply with CDC and New York State guidance for reopening. Staff and volunteers have been provided with detailed guidelines prior to returning to work.
How We’re Keeping Everyone Safe
To maintain the safety of staff, volunteers, clients and donors, CAPTAIN CHS offices and locations remain closed to the public during CAPTAIN CHS’s Phase One operations. Staff and volunteers will follow guidelines set by the CDC and New York State for health screenings, practice social distancing, wear appropriate PPE including masks, and avoid all in-person meetings. The offices will be staffed at only 50% capacity with workspaces rearranged to meet distancing guidelines.
CAPTAIN CHS offices and locations will follow CDC and New York State guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting, including the institution of twice-daily cleaning protocols with EPA-approved products of high-touch areas and personal workspaces.
If a staff member, volunteer, client or other visitor to CAPTAIN CHS’s offices becomes ill with symptoms related to COVID-19, or tests positive, procedures are in place for notification of those exposed, along with protocols for cleaning and disinfecting the affected office location. Staff members, volunteers, clients and visitors are asked to refrain from entering the building or office space if exhibiting symptoms or if there’s been contact with an infected individual within the last fourteen days.
