PROGRAM CURRENT STATUS
Bike Works Program reopened as of June 29th.
Bread Giveaway Bread available through the Food Pantry with monthly orders.
CAPTAIN's Treasures Donations will be accepted from July 15th - 18th from 10am-3pm or until store is at capacity. CAPTAIN's Treasures will reopen with modified hours on Monday, July 20th.
CAPteens All in-person programming suspended until further notice. CAPteens are performing remote community service and volunteer projects.
Care Links All Volunteer Senior Services have resumed with health screening and disinfection protocols. Seniors, please call in if you have needs. 518-399-3262.
Cheryl's Lodge Outreach Center Free Summer Meals delivered to kids in the Halfmoon Heights Monday- Fridays 12-1:30pm, call to request delivery. 518-373-8873. Peace Camp Session 1 starts July 6th, Session 2 starts July 20th, for Shenendehowa Elementary Youth. Camp CAPTAIN Cares, for Middle School Youth starts July 20th. Bread Giveaway resumes Friday, July 17th at 9:00am and continues each Friday through the summer. Playground closed. Senior Support Group remains suspended.
Family Assistance Open for Phone Intake (call 518-371-1185) for crisis advice, referral, rent and utility assistance. Furniture, clothing, and household needs program suspended until further notice.
Family Development Mentoring/Getting Ahead Getting Ahead and Staying Ahead are offering virtual/remote support to current clients. The next Getting Ahead virtual class is registering now. Call 518-371-1185. Volunteer mentoring has resumed with health screening and disinfection protocols.
Family Support and Respite Services We will continue to offer telehealth services in accordance with NYS and OMH guidelines. The provision of in home services or face to face contact has resumed as 6/24/20. Call 518-371-1185 for details.
Food Pantry Open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10am-3pm for outside pickup. CALL FIRST at 518-371-1185 to place order. Delivery available for homebound. Donations of Food and Hygiene items accepted Monday-Friday 9am-5pm at the Clifton Park Office.
Job Assist For Employers who employ youth and have re-opened in accordance with NYS guidelines, contact 518-371-1185 to register open positions. Youth seeking work may apply online www.captaincares.org.
Runaway and Homeless Youth Shelter Open with screening protocols in place and following NYS and OCFS guidelines for PPE, cleaning and social distance. Call 518-584-6042 for intake and referral.
Safe Harbour Will offer Case Management with social distancing guidelines for wearing masks in Saratoga and Schenectady Counties. Case Management also continues via cell phone and other virtual options.

Laundry and shower facilities open at Gloversville site.
Supportive Housing for Homeless Youth Open with social distancing and following guidelines for wearing masks. Referrals and youth interested in the program may call for intake- 518-729-6524.
VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program full for the year. Households can visit myfreetaxes.com to prepare their own returns. TAX DEADLINE for Federal and State returns EXTENDED to July 15th.
Wellness Express Fully operational: transportation to non-emergency medical appointments for seniors. Staff and seniors wear masks and follow strict PPE and cleaning guidelines.
