  • Carl Anderson
    Carl Anderson

    Carl is a Middle Market - Commercial Banker for M&T Bank in the Capital District. As such, he works with companies with revenues over $25 million and borrowing needs over $5 million. Carl is a graduate of Siena College, where he earned a B. A. in Finance. Through his 25-year career (20 with M&T Bank),
    he has amassed expertise in small business lending, equipment finance and leasing, and mid-market commercial banking. In addition, Carl lends his time and expertise to various charities and not-for-profit companies in the Capital District. He has served on the CAPTAIN Board for the past six years and has just concluded his term as Board President. Carl is an avid skier and golfer.

  • Phil Barrett
    Phil Barrett

    Phil is currently serving his seventh term as Clifton Park's Town Supervisor. In 2011, the Town Board combined the positions of Town Supervisor and Town Administrator and asked Barrett to work full time at the Town. He subsequently resigned from Key Bank, where he worked as a commercial lending officer for several years. Phil is a member of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors and served as Chairman for Saratoga County government in 2007. He is also a regional leader and currently serves as a board member of the Capital District Regional Planning Commission, Capital District Transportation Commission and Clear Channel Radio Community Board. Phil graduated from Providence College with a degree in Business Administration, and served his country as an officer in the United States Army. He has three children.

  • Dennis Brobston
    Dennis Brobston

    Dennis has served as the President of the Saratoga Economic Development Corporation for the past 5 years, where he is working to better Saratoga County through balanced economic growth. He is a graduate of SUNY Empire State College with a degree in Business Management. Dennis currently serves on the Saratoga Hospital Board and is a member of the Captial Region Economic Development Council.

  • Fr. Patrick Butler
    Fr. Patrick Butler

    Fr. Pat is the pastor at St. Edward the Confessor Parish in Clifton Park. Fr. Pat grew up in Troy and graduated from Catholic Central High School. After graduating from SUNY Albany and Catholic University of America, Fr. Pat was ordained in 1982.

  • Bill Casey
    Bill Casey

    Bill is retired from State of New York, former 1st Deputy Commissioner NYS Office of General Services and Asst. Deputy Comptroller for NYS. He is currently a part-time management consultant to Albany County Airport Authority. He has served on the Shenendehowa School Board, the CAPTAIN Board over 15 years (two years as president and two terms as interim Executive Director), and currently serves as Secretary of the Board for the Shenendehowa Educational Foundation, and as an Elder at Grace Chapel, Clifton Park.

  • Gary Dake
    Gary Dake

    Gary is a native Saratogian who earned a BA in Economics from St. Lawrence University. He is the President of Stewart's Shops, serves on the Leadership Saratoga Advisory Board, and has been a member of the Saratoga National Bank Board of Directors for the past fifteen years.

  • C.J. DeCrescente
    C.J. DeCrescente

    C.J. DeCrescente is the President of DDC, a wholesaler of beer, soft drink, wine and spirits. C.J. began at DDC in 1979 and worked various positions before being named President in 1997. He has served on notable industry-related National councils, including Heineken USA and MillerCoors, and currently is serving on Crown (Corona) and North American Breweries (Labatt). The local and family-run business has been honored as one of the Capital Region's Best Places to Work by The Business Review for four consecutive years- 2010 through 2013- and has achieved distinction as one of New York State's Best Companies to Work by New York State Society for Human Resources Management and the Business Council of NYS for four consecutive years- 2011, 2012, 2013 (placing # 3) and now 2014. DDC was also honored nationally in 2013 as #1 Craft Beer Distributor of the Year. C.J. lives in Rexford, New York, with his wife, Marybeth, and daughter, Payton. In addition, C.J.'s other three children, Jessica, Carmine III, and Matthew, all hold positions in the family-based company. His passions include the NY Yankees and all things family and business-oriented.

  • David DeMarco
    David DeMarco

    Dave is the President of Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company. He earned a BA in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He is a member of the Saratoga Springs Rotary and is an avid golfer who recently scored a hole in one.

  • James Doern
    James Doern

    James is a part-time City Court Judge in Saratoga Springs and a partner in Rodrigues and Doern, PLLC. He earned degrees from Skidmore College and Albany Law School. He is a member and past president of the Saratoga Springs Rotary and the recipient of the 2005 NYS Bar Association Pro Bono Award. He is also an accomplished fisherman.

  • Dale Gleason
    Dale Gleason

    Dale has been the Business Manager for G. Kirk Gleason, DDSPC, for 35 years. She is a long-time community activist who has served on the Shenendehowa School Board, CAPTAIN Board, the Town of Clifton Park Ethics, Planning and Zoning Boards, as well as the Southern Saratoga YMCA and Ellis Hospital Foundation Boards.

  • Bill Long
    Bill Long

    Bill has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, presently in practice in Clifton Park. He and his wife, Anne, have three grown children who attended Shenendehowa, and seven grandchildren who live in Boston, MA, Laramie, WY, and Charlotte, NC. They have been Clifton Park residents for more than 40 years. Bill has held previous positions in Orange County, CA, Albany Medical College, Saratoga Mental Health, and Skidmore College. He helped to develop the Saratoga Child Custody Project and CAPTAIN. He is a current CAPTAIN Board Member and Vice President for Programs. In his free time, Bill enjoys running and skiing.

  • Roy McDonald
    Roy McDonald

    Roy is the Vice President of Government Banking at M&T Bank. He is a former member of the New York State Senate, representing the 43rd district (all of Rensselaer and part of Saratoga Counties). Before being elected to the Senate, he served in the New York State Assembly for six years, representing the 112th District. For 23 years, he was Town and County Supervisor for the Town of Wilton and in 1986, served a term as Chairman of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors. Roy grew up in Lansingburgh, and earned his Associate's degree from Hudson Valley Community College. He went on to earn a Master's Degree from the State University at Oneonta. A veteran, Roy served as part of the US Army's 1st Cavalry Division in the Vietnam War. He and his wife are the parents of three daughters. His two grandsons have autism, and Roy has been a leader in autism awareness, creating the Saratoga County Autism Council and sponsoring legislation.

  • Tom Savino
    Tom Savino

    Tom has been licensed real estate broker since 1984 and joined CBRE-Albany in 1996. Prior to his real estate career, he had a successful 20-year career in the health care industry specializing in business operations and facility management.

  • Suzann Smart
    Suzann Smart

    Suzann is the Executive Director of the Foundation for Ellis Medicine. She has worked for not-for-profit organizations her entire career, including public television, museums and human services organizations. She is on the Board of Directors of the Rubin Dialysis Center and is a past member of the Board of the Southern Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, where she served on the Executive Committee as Secretary. Suzann is a graduate of the University of Rochester, earning her BA in Fine Arts. She and her husband, Tom Merklinger, live in Clifton Park and have three sons who graduated from Shenendehowa and were volunteers with CAPTAIN.

  • Kevin Tollisen
    Kevin Tollisen

    Kevin was born and raised in the Town of Halfmoon with his parents, Albert and Marie Tollisen and his brother, Brian. Kevin went to Mechanicville Central Schools, where he graduated fourth in his graduating class in 1990. Kevin went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in History/Political Science at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. He graduated from Albany School Law in 1997 with his juris doctorate degree. Kevin passed the New York State Bar Exam in November and was admitted to practice law in January of 1998. Kevin continues to reside in the Town of Halfmoon with his beautiful wife, Rebecca, and their two sons, Matthew and Timothy. He is the Town of Halfmoon Supervisor and a partner in the law firm of Carola, Bagnoli & Tollisen, PLLC in Mechanicville.

  • Virginia Touhey
    Virginia Touhey

    Virginia is a licensed Massage Therapist who has been in practice for over 13 years. At Fascial Connections and A Peaceful Place Massage and Wellness, she addresses chronic conditions through the technique of Myofascial Release together with deep tissue and other advanced techniques. Virginia currently serves as President of the Board of To Love a Child and has travelled to Africa on several occasions to help in underserved villages. In addition to her membership in Business Network International and fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Virginia is an accomplished triathlete.

  • John Yagielski
    John Yagielski

    John is an Educational Consultant and Researcher for school districts, BOCES and public and private organizations across the state. He is a former Superintendent of Schools of both Shenendehowa and the Greece Central School District. John received a degree in Accounting and Finance from Meyers College in Ohio, and his MBA and MS in Educational Administration from the University of Rochester. He has authored several articles for professional education journals and presented at a variety of international, national and regional conferences and workshops.
