CAPteens is a youth-driven, youth development program aimed at involving local teens at Shenendehowa Schools in community service, philanthropy, and helping those in need. High school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible to become CAPteens based on an application and interview process. Job Assist is a free youth employment matching program for youth ages 14-21 residing in the Shenendehowa or Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School Districts, and local employers. Youth are provided with job matching support and employment readiness skills related to interviewing, resume preparation, understanding the hiring process and setting professional expectations for the world of work. We offer youth street-based outreach and education, crisis intervention, access to emergency shelter and/or assistance with alternative housing, basic survival tools (clothing/food/hygiene), individual assessments and case management, referrals to needed services (medical, counseling, sexual assault and crisis rape relief counseling, drug and alcohol counseling, etc.), housing, employment and transportation assistance, and follow-up support. We serve Saratoga, Fulton, and Montgomery County with Street Outreach, and both Saratoga and Schenectady Counties with Safe Harbour (anti-human trafficking program). The Supportive Housing Program is for young adults ages 18-25 who are leaving foster care without a permanent place to live, struggling with chronic homelessness, or confirmed victims of human trafficking with no permanent housing options available. Call 518-729-6524 for more information.

Our Runaway & Homeless Youth Shelter is a temporary shelter certified by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services serving youth under age 18 who are homeless, runaway, or in an otherwise unsafe situation. Youth can utilize our program and services for up to 30 days or as long as is necessary, and know that they will be safe and find refuge in a home-like environment. The Shelter operates around-the-clock, every day of the year, accepting youth 24-hours a day from various locations and referral sources. The Shelter's location is confidential for safety purposes.
