Seasonal Giving

CAPTAIN CHS is in the business of helping our neighbors year-round, offering seasonal programming from Free Summer Meals to our Holiday Toy Shop. As the seasons change, check back to see how we help, and how you can help.

School Supplies will be posted in early July.

If you have questions, please contact our office at 518-371-1185.

Thanks to our community for all of your incredible support!

  • CAPTAIN CHS collects new and clean, gently-used coats for children and adults throughout the months of September and October, and distributes coats October 1st through 31st. For 2024, coats may be dropped off to the Clifton Park office beginning September 11th and continuing until October 30th.

  • CAPTAIN CHS proudly continues our tradition of offering Thanksgiving Baskets to those in need in our community. Each basket contains everything needed for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, including a gift card for a turkey. Baskets are donated by generous families, scouts, office groups, organizations, and faith-based groups in our community.

For 2024, baskets may be dropped off at the Clifton Park office anytime November 1st-20th. Click the image or see below to download this list.

  • The Adopt-a-Family program allows donors to shop for a specific family's needs (note the family remains anonymous). The program is available for qualified families in the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and Shenendehowa School Districts.

For 2024, families will be matched by November 22nd and drop-off to the Clifton Park office must occur by December 9th. Please click the button located above this list to sign-up and be matched.

  • Toy Shop allows qualified Saratoga County families who have not been enrolled in any holiday help program to select a few new toys for their children.

For 2024, new, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at the Clifton Park office November 25th through December 13th.

  • The Gloversville Sponsor-a-Child program allows donors to shop for a specific child's needs (note the child remains anonymous). The program is available for qualified families in the Gloversville School District.
