CAPTAIN Community Human Services hosts a variety of events and programs throughout the year. Annual fundraising events serve a vital role in raising essential funds for our programs and services, such as our Runaway and Homeless Youth Shelter, Homework Help at Cheryl's Lodge, family assistance programs, and our emergency food and hygiene pantry.

This fast, fun, and family-friendly race draws runners and spectators from across the Capital Region, kicking off the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Flag Day Parade with an electrifying community spirit. With over 300 runners and thousands of cheering fans in 2025, we’re ready to make 2026 even bigger. More than just a race, this cherished tradition supports CAPTAIN CHS’s vital programs, providing food, housing, and crisis services to those in need. Be part of this incredible event that celebrates fitness, community, and giving back!
