The Innovation Collaborative – Unleashing the Power of Collaboration
CAPTAIN Community Human Services (CHS) is proud to announce the launch of our newest service, The Innovation Collaborative. Our mission is to provide direct support to organizations in the social impact sector through the development of three distinct services:
- The Innovation Collaborative Mentoring Program
- The Grant Development Collab
- The Collaborative Innovation Accelerator (Coming soon!)
We aim for these services to enhance employee wellness and retention, foster the professional development of future leaders in the impact sector, support the complex funding efforts of our partners, and provide a platform to address today’s most pressing social issues. We believe that these initiatives will contribute to a brighter future for the people of Saratoga County.
For more information regarding the below services, contact Kathy McNeice, Chief Innovation Officer for Impact Sector Growth.
The Grant Collaborative
The Grant Development Collaborative for social impact sector partners provides comprehensive and knowledgeable guidance to enhance the partner’s grant submission. This local team of advisors will share expertise in many areas of grant development such as drafting compelling narratives, designing impactful strategic plans, inclusive operating budgets and providing thoughtful data to support your impactful grant application submission!
How We Can Help:
- Assist in developing a grant submission timeline that allows adequate time for writing the proposal.
- Provide an understanding of funder-specific templates.
- Offer individual feedback on each section of your proposal.
- Ensure that your budgeted activities align with the narrative you present.
- Assist in drafting clear outcomes that demonstrate what you hope to achieve with the funding.
- Provide helpful resources.
Disclaimer:
Please note that this service does not guarantee the successful award of any grants or funding for which you are applying. This service is intended to provide guidance, advice, feedback, and information to improve and enhance grant applications. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of your organization to decide whether to utilize and implement the suggested edits, advice, feedback, and information in your grant application. Captain CHS and the grant review service at the Innovation Collaborative accept no responsibility for the final submission of grants to funding agencies or funders. We strongly believe that our service will enhance the final grant product, but the ultimate responsibility for the grant lies with your agency.
The Innovation Collaborative Mentoring Program
This program is designed for the social impact sector leader or employee who demonstrates future leadership potential and offers the support they need to boldly lead this work with the knowledge to make a positive change for the people we serve together. Individuals are matched with expert consultants to meet their professional goals to become transformative leaders within the impact sector. We believe mentoring has evolved past preparing individuals for leadership positions- mentoring experiences can provide support to four critical areas within an organization:
- Assisting organizations in enhancing their competitiveness
- Preparing high-potential employees for leadership positions opportunities for growth
- Providing every employee with opportunities for career growth and development, regardless of their level within the organization
- Cultivating a culture of mentorship within the organization
It is our mission to connect the best and brightest to advance the collective missions of excellent agencies. This service provides the same level of mentorship given to impact sector leaders, but with a focus on developing organizational strength, resiliency, and effectiveness through custom designed programs and skill development for impact sector agencies.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to take your organization to the next level!
