Care Links, a program of CAPTAIN Community Human Services (CHS), is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated annual dinner show, scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2024. The event will take place from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the exquisite Mohawk River Country Club, located at 847 Riverview Road, Rexford, NY 12148.
Themed, “A Care Links Wedding”, this enchanting evening is dedicated to rallying support for CAPTAIN CHS’ senior services programs, which cater to the needs of the vibrant community in southern Saratoga County.
“We extend a warm invitation to our community to join us in honoring and celebrating the profound bond between our dedicated Care Links volunteers and the cherished Care Receivers they serve,” expressed Andy Gilpin, Executive Director of CAPTAIN CHS. “This event is not just an opportunity to relax and enjoy each other’s company; it’s a chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of our local seniors.”
Care Links provides essential assistance to homebound seniors in southern Saratoga County through a network of compassionate volunteers. Services include friendly visiting, transportation, respite, shopping, errands, social gatherings, and more, serving communities such as Ballston (including Burnt Hills), Charlton, Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Malta, and the City of Mechanicville. Funding for Care Links is generously provided by the Saratoga County Department of Aging and Youth, the Towns of Ballston, Clifton Park, Halfmoon, and Malta, the New York State Office for the Aging, as well as participant and community contributions.
“While we are grateful for the support from various local and county-wide agencies, events like this fundraiser enable us to further enhance and expand our vital programming,” remarked Gilpin. “With our community experiencing a growing aging population, it’s imperative to garner individual and business support to meet these evolving needs.”
The evening promises captivating performances by Maddalone Entertainment, featuring Zack and Terra Maddalone. Limited tickets are available at $55 per person, with sponsorship opportunities also offered.
