Impact Sector Services

Our Impact Sector Services allow us to focus on creating positive and lasting change within CAPTAIN CHS as well as within other local nonprofits and organizations. We believe in the value of supporting and growing the next generation of community service leaders, helping agencies secure enhanced funding for community issues, supporting new and forward-thinking collaborative initiatives, and piloting projects that help us all grow and better support our community.

For more information regarding the below services, contact Kathy McNeice, Chief Innovation Officer for Impact Sector Growth.

The Grant Collaborative

The Grant Collaborative offers personalized coaching and support to help our partners succeed in their funding efforts. Our peer-led collaborative is made up of experienced grant writers who are familiar with the unique needs of our communities. They are dedicated to providing guidance and insights to help your organization develop accurate and persuasive proposals. Each peer consultant brings expertise in grant crafting and is ready to assist you with your grant writing journey.

How We Can Help:

  • Assist in developing a grant submission timeline that allows adequate time for writing the proposal.
  • Provide an understanding of funder-specific templates.
  • Offer individual feedback on each section of your proposal.
  • Ensure that your budgeted activities align with the narrative you present.
  • Assist in drafting clear outcomes that demonstrate what you hope to achieve with the funding.
  • Provide helpful resources.

Disclaimer:

Please note that this service does not guarantee the successful award of any grants or funding for which you are applying. This service is intended to provide guidance, advice, feedback, and information to improve and enhance grant applications. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of your organization to decide whether to utilize and implement the suggested edits, advice, feedback, and information in your grant application. Captain CHS and the grant review service at the Innovation Collaborative accept no responsibility for the final submission of grants to funding agencies or funders. We strongly believe that our service will enhance the final grant product, but the ultimate responsibility for the grant lies with your agency.

Mentoring Program

CAPTAIN CHS facilitates a mentoring program that connects new and upcoming community service leaders with experienced leaders and experts. This connection aims to help local organizations better prepare for the future while continuing to meet their community's needs. Mentors are paired with mentees based on a variety of factors, such as organization type and structure, work style, and experiences.
