CAPTAIN CHS hosts a variety of events and programs throughout the year. Annual fundraising events serve a vital role in raising essential funds for our programs and services, such as our Runaway and Homeless Youth Shelter, Homework Help at Cheryl's Lodge, family assistance programs, and our emergency food and hygiene pantry.
Events and benefits hosted by others on our behalf are other ways you can help make a difference. We are so grateful for the support of our community!

CAPTAIN Community Human Services is joining forces with 14 Jersey Mike’s Subs in the Capital Region, North Country, and Mohawk Valley for the 15th Annual March “Month of Giving” campaign to support local charities. During the month of March, customers will have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $3, or $5 to CAPTAIN CHS when placing their order.
The Month of Giving campaign culminates with Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 26th, when local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will give 100 percent of the day’s sales – not just profit – to CAPTAIN CHS.
Buffalo Wild Wings in Clifton Park has chosen CAPTAIN CHS for their Home Team Advantage fundraiser! 10% of proceeds will be donated from March 1st to June 1st.

Connection Corner with Senior Services and teh Alzheimer's Association invite you to join us for "coffee and conversation" as we offer emotional support and disease education to those who are caregivers for those affected by dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
The Senior Services monthly lunch club meets at a different location each month. Order off the menu and separate checks available. Call to register your attendance, all are welcome. This month's speaker is from the Albany Guardian Society.

Connection Corner with Care Patrol offers the opportunity to meet with an advisor to learn about housing services that are available. We come with the promise to help you find the best senior care options for your needs supporting families of older adults, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable with the care decisions made. There is no cost for this service.

This fast, fun, and family-friendly race draws runners and spectators from across the Capital Region, kicking off the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Flag Day Parade with an electrifying community spirit. With over 300 runners and thousands of cheering fans in 2024, we’re ready to make 2025 even bigger. More than just a race, this cherished tradition supports CAPTAIN CHS’s vital programs, providing food, housing, and crisis services to those in need.
